UFC announces event in São Paulo for November with Minotouro x Gustafsson

The UFC confirmed in the early hours of this Sunday (25) that the fight between Rogério Minotouro e Alexander Gustafson will be the main fight of UFC Fight Night 100, an event that will be held on November 19th, at the Ibirapuera gym, in São Paulo. Giovani Decker, general director of the UFC in Brazil, also announced six more fights for the show.

Minotouro knocked out American Patrick Cummins at UFC 198, in May, in Curitiba (PR), and recovered after two consecutive setbacks against Anthony Johnson e Mauritius Shogun. Gustafsson, in turn, has a positive result in his most recent fight, against Jan Blachowicz, at UFC Hamburg. The Swede has already challenged for the category's belt twice, but was defeated both times: he lost to Jon Jones, in 2013, and for Daniel CormierIn 2015.

Among the other fights announced, highlight the middleweight Thales leites. Currently 11th in the division's rankings, the Rio native will face the Polish Kryzstof Jotko, and both fighters won their most recent commitments. Leites submitted Chriz Camozzi last August, while Jotko overcame Tamdan McCrory in June this year.

Who will also be in action at UFC Sao Paulo It will be welterweight Serginho Moares, who will face the thick-skinned Michael Graves. The jiu-jitsu ace drew with Luan Chagas in his last fight and hasn't known what it's like to lose since 2012 – five fights, while Graves won his two fights in Ultimate, including a triumph over the Brazilian Vincent Luque.

Marcos Foot, who was scheduled to fight against Gian Villante at UFC 205, in New York, but was removed from the card after his opponent was injured, he is yet another scheduled for the show. He will face the Russian debutant Gadzhimurad Antigulov. the duels Matheus Nicolau x Ulka Sasaki, Johnny Eduardo x Manny Gamburyan and Luis Henrique “KLB” x Christian Colombo were also confirmed at the event.
