CM Punk's UFC debut, held at UFC 203, on the 10th, continues to generate buzz in the world of MMA. This time he was the light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier who gave his opinion on the matter, and, unlike many, he believes that the telecatch star can become successful in his career, although it may take a few years.

“I think he will fight again in the UFC in a while. It may take a few years, he may have to fight at regional events and then return to the UFC. And yes, I think he will come back and when he comes back, he will win a fight in the UFC and then his mission will be complete”, declared Cormier, in an interview with the program 'UFC Tonight' (USA).

'DC' took the opportunity to praise CM Punk's courage in taking a risk in the octagon without having any experience in the sport. Furthermore, he was happy with the “fighting spirit” shown by his colleague, who showed discomfort with the defeat.

“I talked to CM Punk and he told me it wasn't successful because he lost. Looking at it, I wondered how many people actually put themselves in that situation to be judged like that? With no experience, he didn't really know what he was doing, besides being pitted against a guy who is very good at fighting. For me, it was a big job for him to go out there and do what he set out to do, but I'm glad he was upset that he couldn't win,” he concluded.
