Looking for a new chance to compete for the UFC welterweight belt, the Brazilian Thiago "Pitbull" Alves will be in action next Saturday (28) at UFC 130. The athlete will face the North American Rick story looking for his second straight career victory. The confrontation is part of the main card of the edition based in the city of Las Vegas.
Pitbull recognizes the qualities of his opponent, stressing that he has watched all his previous fights trying to find the best strategy for this weekend's clash. According to the Brazilian athlete, whether in standing combat or on the ground, he will be ready to end the North American's almost two-year unbeaten run.
“Story is a tough guy. It comes from five consecutive victories, which is quite significant. But I can overcome him wherever the fight takes place. I know we won’t go to the judges’ decision, so I’ll have to knock him out or submit him,” said Pitbull.
The Brazilian pointed to aggressiveness as the main characteristic demonstrated by Story in every opportunity he fought in the UFC. According to Pitbull, so far none of his fights in Ultimate have been easy, which is why the tough guy promises to be prepared for whatever happens inside the octagon.
“It will be a war. There is no easy fight at this level of competition, even less so at welterweight. His fighting style matches mine perfectly, which is why I'm betting on another knockout victory on my record”, concluded the fighter.
