Former pro-wrestling star, popularly known in Brazil as telecatch, CM Punk had a debut to forget in the UFC last Saturday (10). Even so, the attitude received praise from none other than Conor McGregor, which highlighted the fighter's courage in actually stepping into the octagon.

At 37 years old, CM Punk, who had never competed professionally, was run over by Mickey gall at UFC 203. Despite having trained for a year and a half for the fight, Punk didn't land a single blow on his rival, and ended up submitting in just a few minutes.

McGregor, UFC featherweight champion, acknowledged that the American was largely dominated, but highlighted that his attitude was quite courageous. “I will say this: applause for him, because he went out there and fought. There are few people who do this. There are few who have the balls to go up there and fight. He took a beating, and how he did! But he went there and fought, so he has my respect”, said the Irishman, in an interview with the North American website “TMZ”.

After the fight, CM Punk highlighted his desire to continue competing in professional MMA, but UFC president, Dana White, indicated that he will not give the athlete a new opportunity in his organization.
