Kennedy wrote on his Facebook page a frank statement about his methods to escape any “ghost” of war, which disturbs several soldiers who are exposed to extreme situations. For him, the solution found was to keep his mind and body always occupied with a greater goal.

“I am asked daily about how I don't suffer from post-traumatic stress. I'm probably the last person on Earth you should ask these things to. I've killed children and women in war, I've seen my friends and colleagues burned alive. My adult life is filled with things that only appear in horror movies. I could have nightmares every night if I didn't choose to make a difference every day for myself and the men who died around me,” the UFC fighter wrote.

“I don't give a shit what they say is the right way to get cured. I tell you how to improve: stop being a coward. You need to wake up early every day and train. Train so hard until your hands bleed, until you sweat acid. Train hard until you break down and see stars. Then you are clean. Eat healthy meals Look good, dress well. At that point you realize that the real work is about to begin”, continued the American athlete.
