Shortly after losing to Conor McGregor at UFC 202, in August, Nate diaz He considered the possibility of staying away from fights until he received the chance to face his rival for the third time. However, the North American changed his speech and appeared indifferent about the matter, since, in his opinion, he defeated the Irishman in the two fights they had.

Diaz and McGregor faced each other for the first time in March this year, with the American winning by submission. In the rematch, McGregor fought back and won in a close decision from the judges.

Asked on the podcast “You're Welcome!” If he was interested in taking the fight against McGregor, Diaz was direct in his response. "To me it does not matter. I won the fight and I'm not jumping for joy for a third fight. I think I beat him twice, it's two to zero. Whether they will want to marry this fight later on, I don't know. I'm not in a hurry. Everything is fine”, said the fighter.

It seems that, in fact, this is not the path adopted by the UFC. The organization's president, Dana White, confirmed that the trilogy between McGregor and Diaz is not in the company's immediate plans.
