The Brazilian Thiago Silva was scheduled to face the North American Quinton “Rampage”Jackson at UFC 130, however, a change in the light heavyweight's drug test before his victory over Brandon vera, in the 125th edition of the event, caused the cancellation of the fight against the former champion of Ultimate(remember here).

Thiago's situation worsened even further today (29) after the athlete was accused of defrauding the urine samples delivered to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the body responsible for sanctioning UFC 125. In total, two tests were carried out with the material collected (proof and counter-proof), both of which were rejected by two different laboratories.

According to the Commission's executive director, Keith Kizer, the samples taken from Thiago's anti-doping test are not compatible with those from human beings. Due to this fact, the Tupiniquim athlete could be preventively suspended from the UFC and his victory over Vera changed to No Contest if the accusation proceeds. The decision on the possible removal of the tough guy will be taken on April 7th by the commissioners responsible for the case.
