Considered one of the main MMA athletes of recent times, Jon Jones he will have to stay away from fights for a long time after being caught in an anti-doping test. However, the American's kickboxing coach, Mike Winkeljohn, believes that this should not affect the athlete's performance upon his official return to the octagon.

According to Winkeljohn, Jones is fully capable of returning from his suspension while still at the top of the UFC's light heavyweight division. “Assuming he doesn’t get distracted during this time away, I’ve always said that no one hits Jon Jones besides himself. And that. We don't know how long he will be away, nor do I worry about that at the moment. But he still has many, many years ahead of him”, commented the coach, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.

Jones was due to fight in the main attraction of UFC 200 last month, but was cut from the event in the run-up to it after failing a surprise drug test carried out during his training. At the time, “Bones” was caught using estrogen blockers. His official suspension has not yet been announced, but it is expected that the fighter will be out of action for two years.
