Free from his most recent doping suspension, Nick Diaz came back with everything. The controversial American fighter claimed he was drugged by someone before his fight against Georges St Pierre, in 2013, and that the then welterweight champion had not made weight for the fight valid for the belt.

The accusations were made in an interview with the North American broadcaster “ESPN”. Diaz insinuated that GSP's failure to weigh in, which would result in the cancellation of his title defense, was covered up by local entities.

“When I fought with Georges St Pierre in Canada, first of all, someone drugged me. And that guy didn't make weight. The commission told me he wouldn't make the weight. Whether it's a pound higher or not doesn't matter. In Las Vegas [USA], where the fight was supposed to take place, they would not only have tested both of us, but they would also not have had a weight tolerance”, said the American fighter.

The duel was the main attraction of UFC 158, in March 2013, in Montreal. On that occasion, St. Pierre dominated the five rounds of competition and won without any fear in the unanimous decision of the judges. Diaz would only fight again in January 2015, against Anderson Silva, a fight in which he ended up caught in an anti-doping test. His suspension expired on August 1st.
