Cyborg is doing well after seven-hour skull surgery

The Brazilian has already corrected the injury he suffered from a knockout in Bellator, but he still doesn't know when he will be able to fight again

Cyborg Evangelist He is doing well after undergoing a long surgery to correct the fracture he suffered at Bellator 158, in London (England), on July 16th. The Brazilian, who injured his skull with the knockout suffered to Michael Page, made a point of reassuring his fans shortly after leaving the operating room at the hospital in Houston, United States.

“I had surgery and thank God everything went well. It lasted seven hours, and the hospital will give Bellator the full report later. God guided the doctors in this surgery, so everything went well”, said Cyborg, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

The Brazilian, however, still doesn't know when he will be released to fight again. “They didn’t tell me anything about my recovery time. After I am released from the hospital they will tell me how long it will take. But it will be quick, I’ll be back soon”, he guaranteed.

At 38 years old, Cyborg is a veteran of professional MMA, where he has worked since 1997. The loss to Page was the 18th of his career, compared to 21 victories.
