About to make his Bellator debut, Kevin Ferguson Jr, son of the late Kimbo Slice, assured that his father's recent death has made him even hungrier to do well in the second largest MMA organization on the planet.

Ferguson Jr, or “Baby Slice”, signed a contract with Bellator even before Kimbo's death, in early June. Therefore, he stated that recent events have made him even stronger in his journey in the world of fights. “It affected me in a way that made me play harder. It [fighting MMA] means more to me now. It affected me in good and bad ways, it had its ups and downs,” he said, in an interview with the website “TMZ.” “I don’t feel pressured. It's something I love to do, so it's my passion. I want to continue his legacy.”

“Baby Slice”, 24 years old, will also make his professional MMA debut, as he only has one amateur fight on his resume – which he won by knockout in just a few minutes. He will be present on the Bellator 160 card, on August 26, in Anaheim (USA).

Kimbo Slice died in early June, at the age of 42, after being rushed to hospital with heart and liver problems. He had already had two fights in Bellator, with one win and one no-contest, and was expected to perform in the organization's debut in England this month.
