With Brazilians in action, UFC on Versus 3 rocks this Thursday night

The city of Louisville, in the United States, hosts the third edition of UFC Live on Versus this Thursday. The event, produced by Ultimate in partnership with the North American television channel Versus, features as its main attraction the fight between the Californian Diego Sanchez against the Danish Martin Kampmann. The show's fight program will also feature two Brazilians in action, both appearing on the preliminary card. Thiago tavares will measure forces against Shane Roller, while, Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares will have ahead Dave Branch.

Thiago tavares, who will make his tenth fight for the UFC, is looking for his sixth victory in the organization against the tough Shane Roller. The black belt from Santa Catarina praises his opponent, but guarantees that he will go in search of victory.

“Shane Roller is a great fighter, he is coming off a great victory over Jamie Varner. It’s going to be a great fight, I’m going for the knockout and he knows it”, said Thiago, who is also coming off a triumph over Pat Audinwood, at UFC 119, held in September 2010.

The other Brazilian athlete on the card will be Rousimar Toquinho. The Brazilian Top Team fighter will try to rehabilitate himself in the organization against Dave Branch. The Minas Gerais native, who is coming off a defeat against North American Nate Marquardt at UFC Fight Night 22, guarantees that he learned from the mistakes of his last fight and hopes to leave the Octagon victorious.

“Life is a learning experience, everything has a positive and negative side. I have to learn from my mistakes. If you can learn from your victories, it’s even better,” said Toquinho, who has a UFC record of four wins and just two losses.
