The Brazilian Diego nunes He already has a date to return to the UFC Octagon. After debuting with a victory over Mike Brown in the 125th edition of the event, the Tupiniquim athlete will face off against another North American at UFC 131. This is Kenny Florian, a fighter who will debut in the featherweight category after working more than four years as a lightweight.
Nunes is undefeated for three fights in his career, with 16 wins and just one loss. Florian comes from a setback for his compatriot Gray Maynard, at UFC 118, when he let the opportunity to fight for the lightweight belt against the current champion slip away Frankie Edgar. The featherweight clash will likely be part of the main card of UFC 131, which will take place on June 11 in the Canadian city of Vancouver.
This edition of Ultimate will also feature another Brazilian in action. In a fight that will bring together the two TUF 13 technicians, the Santa Catarina Junior Gypsy will face the former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to decide who will be the next challenger for the category belt.
