The city of East Rutherford, in the State of New Jersey, United States, hosts another edition of Strikeforce this evening. The event, which opens the organization's heavyweight GP, highlights the fight between Brazilian Antonio Pezão and Russian Fedor Emelianenko.
Considered the underdog in the fight, Pezão shows respect for his opponent, but guarantees that he can defeat one of the biggest names in MMA history.
“This fight is very important for my life. Fedor is the best fighter in the world, an MMA legend. People say he will beat me, but I know it won't be easy, as I have dedicated all my attention to him”, said the Brazilian during the press conference.
In addition to Pezão, the fight program also features another Brazilian in action: Among the preliminary fights, the black belt Igor Gracie will measure forces against the North American John Salgado.
