“If St-Pierre beats Shields, he will face Anderson Silva still this year. The big question at the moment is where we will hold the clash between the champions”, highlighted the director.

If St-Pierre's favoritism is confirmed, the fight against Anderson Silva it will probably be valid for the middleweights, a fact that would begin the Canadian's career in the 84 kg category. Another aspect raised by White was in relation to the Japanese Yushin Okami, who would be the Brazilian’s next title challenger.

“I have to analyze Okami’s case, but I believe he will have to wait a little longer. Maybe he'll have one more fight before fighting for the belt. He will definitely go crazy with this news”, commented White.

After the UFC president's statements, Anderson has already given his opinion on the possible fight against St-Pierre. The Tupiniquim athlete made it clear that he would accept the new challenge, but that he had a special request to make to the North American top hat.

“I would like the fight to be held in Brazil. If it's not possible, let it be in Las Vegas. I consider the city to be my second home,” said Anderson.
