Vitor belfort: “When Anderson fought Chael, he was injured and still, in my opinion, he had a good fight. So I don't have much to absorb from that fight. I know I have to be prepared for any situation.”
Question: You had to move down a category. Do you think this change was good and that you continue to have the same strength as always?
Vitor belfort: “I've already had two fights in this category and I feel good. I’m a professional and that’s my job.”
Question: Seven years ago you faced Randy Couture for the second time. What do you remember about that fight? Do you think you are in the same situation?
Vitor belfort: “If I look back, I see myself with a new chance to get back to the top. Today I feel better, not only as a fighter, but as a family man and human being.”
Question: A few days before the fight, what Vitor belfort are you feeling?
Vitor belfort: “I'm very excited. It's another great chance that has arisen in my career. I'm going to fight one of the best on the planet. It’s my time to show what I can do.”
Question: You've faced big names in MMA, but have you ever fought someone with Anderson's ability?
Vitor belfort: “If I said that I had faced someone like him, I would be lying. He is unique. But I’m fine and I prepared a lot to enter the octagon and do my best.”
Question: This has been considered the most anticipated fight in history. How do you feel about this?
Vitor belfort: “This fight will mark the history of MMA in the world. There are two Brazilians fighting and this will be important for people to value sport more in our country. This can open doors for new talent. Who knows, maybe one day MMA will be compared to football or volleyball.”
