Strikeforce president Scott Coker made his predictions for the event's heavyweight GP, which starts on February 12th. In an interview with the North American radio program The Fighting, the top hat says that the Russian Fedor Emelianenko, considered the biggest name in the organization, will not be the tournament champion.
“I believe we won’t have many upsets in the GP. We may have alistair overeem against (Josh) Barnett in the final. The other prediction is that if the Fabricio Werdum beats Alistair (in the quarterfinals), I think Fabrício can beat Fedor (Emelianenko) again”, said Coker. The manager bets that Josh barnett, which is on the other side of the key along with Brett Rogers, Andrei Arlovski e Sergey Kharitonov, will be the other finalist.
“Probably whoever comes out of this side of the bracket will face (Josh) Barnett. That's my prediction, but what happens in the fight, you never know, just making some guesses. The reality is that we are going to have good fun with the tournament”, guarantees the president.
