With the output of Anthony Johnson from UFC on FOX 20, Glover Teixeira was waiting for a new opponent for the event. However, the Brazilian will have to stay out of the attraction, which takes place on July 23, in Chicago (USA).
According to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, the UFC will not select a new opponent for Glover, who will therefore have to leave the fight he would have on the attraction. However, Ultimate has not announced whether it will reschedule the fight with Johnson, or whether it will appoint a new opponent for the Brazilian at a future event.
Teixeira comes from a quick victory over Rashad evans at UFC on FOX 19 in April. Shortly after the fight, the miner challenged Johnson and was promptly responded to. However, the American left the card for no apparent reason – according to the same “MMA Fighting”, his departure was related to family problems.
