The two fighters performed at the same event, UFC 199, in early June. Henderson knocked out Hector Lombard with a nice elbow, while BIsping surprised by dethroning Luke Rockhold and win the title. Thus, “Hendo”, the oldest active UFC athlete (45 years old), wants to be able to meet his old rival again.

Asked by the website “TMZ” if he felt uncomfortable with some of Bisping’s provocations, Henderson said: “I never paid much attention to what he says, but I am entertained. I think it's funny that he's going to keep talking a lot and end up getting beaten up by an old man”, he said.

Henderson insisted that, if the fight gets off the ground, it would be his farewell to MMA. “They are definitely thinking about it, but as far as I know, nothing has been set in stone. But if we fight, it would definitely be my last fight. I know my body could handle fighting for a few more years, but I'm mentally ready to stop. Win or lose, it would be my last fight,” he clarified.

Bisping and Henderson faced each other at UFC 100, in 2009. At the time, the two athletes arrived at the fight in a great atmosphere of rivalry, as they had been TUF coaches shortly before. In the fight, Henderson won with a brutal knockout after landing a solid punch on Bisping.
