One of the biggest sellers of pay-per-view from the history of MMA, Brock Lesnar has always had a large fan base, which combines fans of mixed martial arts and pro wrestlingtelecatch, as it is known in Brazil), its main strength and bargaining power. With his return to the Octagon scheduled for UFC 200, however, the former heavyweight champion surprised and ensured that the fans who follow his career had no influence on his decision to fight again.

“I’m not proving anything to anyone. I'm not doing this (returning to the UFC) for the fans. If there are any fans excited about my return to the Octagon, great. But I don't do it for the fans. I'm doing this for me. If, by chance, millions of people want to turn on the TV to watch me fight on July 9th, that doesn't matter. It would be great and I would love it, but I'm not going to change it. It’s all because of me, I’m sorry,” said Lesnar, in an interview with WWE’s “Heyman Hustle”.
