The film, which will premiere in theaters on June 16th, had its premiere last Wednesday (8), in Rio de Janeiro. Aldo expressed his happiness at seeing his story turned into a film and bet that entertainment is guaranteed for everyone, regardless of their taste for MMA.
“I have to thank Afonso Poyart [director] and the entire cast for telling my story in the cinema and making me very emotional. It's incredible. I think that, whether you are a fight fan or not, this film will move people, because it is an emotional story. The first time I watched it, I was so excited to see my story become a movie that I didn't even pay attention! The second time, I paid attention. My past was difficult for me, but I went through everything and managed to overcome it. It’s impossible not to cry!”, he said, in an interview reproduced by the “MMA Fighting” website.
Actor José Loreto played Aldo in the film, which also featured appearances by Cléo Pires (as the fighter's wife), Milhem Cortaz (as Aldo's trainer, Dedé Pederneiras), Jackson Antunes (Aldo's father), Claudia Ohana (mother) and Rafinha Bastos (Marcos Loro, gym colleague).
