After defeating Hector Lombard impressively at UFC 199, last Saturday (4), the veteran Dan Henderson left open what would happen to his future. The oldest active UFC athlete, at 45 years old, Henderson even considered the possibility of retiring. But the result of that night's main fight could change his mind.

According to journalist Erik Fontanez, from the “Champions” website, the veteran is trying to “dig” an opportunity within the UFC against the new middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, which dethroned Luke Rockhold also at UFC 199.
Henderson and Bisping faced each other in July 2009, at the historic UFC 100. On that occasion, the American scored one of the most devastating knockouts in MMA history, when he knocked the Englishman down with a powerful punch to the chin in the second round.
Recently, however, the two athletes have been going through very different moments. While Bisping is coming off victories over Anderson Silva and Rockhold, winning the title, Henderson lost six of his last nine fights.
