After losing the WEC lightweight belt in the final edition of the event (remember here), the North American Ben henderson He already has a date and opponent set for his UFC debut. The athlete will face the Canadian Mark Bocek on the main card of UFC 129, which will take place on April 30 in Canada.

Henderson has a record of 12 wins and two losses, remaining undefeated in ten fights between 2007 and 2010. The American won the now-defunct WEC belt by defeating his compatriot Jamie varner in the unification of the organization's lightweight titles in January last year, as he held the interim belt in the category. 

In turn, Bocek won nine of his 12 fights in his career, coming from a submission victory (armbar in a triangle) over the North American Dustin hazelett at UFC 124, held last month in the United States. It is worth noting that seven of his victories were achieved by submission, winning the award for best submission of the night in the UFC on two occasions.

So far, UFC 129 has two other fights scheduled. In the main attraction of the night, the Canadian Georges St-Pierre will compete for his welterweight belt against the American Jake Shields, while the Brazilian Lyoto Machida will seek to recover from two consecutive defeats against former UFC light heavyweight champion, Randy Couture.
