Everyone knows that Brazilian fans are one of the most intense in the world of MMA. But the issue went to another level during UFC 198, an event held this Saturday night (14), in Curitiba (PR).

Opponent of Demian Maia In the last fight of the preliminary card, Matt Brown was one of the most booed fighters of the entire night. This is because the North American provoked the public during the weigh-in, on Friday, making several obscene gestures while stepping on the scale.

When he entered the fight, Brown was “helled” by the fans, receiving aggressive signals in return and hearing all kinds of insults. However, things went overboard when the fighter received two slaps to the head on the way. On a third occasion, Brown was grabbed, which made him react impulsively with a punch.

In a press conference after the event, UFC director in Brazil, Giovani Decker, stated that the fan who grabbed Brown was removed from the arena after the incident. In the fight, Brown was largely dominated by Demian and ended up submitting in the third round.
