UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor became a sculpture. The Irish fighter had his image reproduced in an impressive work created in wood by the American sculptor James O'Neal.

The artist carved McGregor's body from a single piece of wood, resulting in a life-size work of the athlete. Even the fighter's hair, which reproduces the style used in the fight against Dustin poirier, in 2014, were reproduced in the smallest details.

O'Neal revealed that he put around 700 hours of work into the work, which took more than six months to complete. The artist, however, did not reveal what he intends to do with the sculpture.

McGregor won the UFC featherweight (up to 66 kg) belt in December last year, when he beat José Aldo by knockout. In his last fight, however, the Irishman was defeated by Nate diaz, in a duel held in the welterweight category.
