The victory of Quinton “Rampage”Jackson about Lyoto Machida, in the main fight of UFC-123, caused surprise for many, including the athlete who won the fight himself. However, another character caught a lot of attention at the time of the announcement: Ed Soares, the Brazilian's manager, categorically stated that they had raised the wrong fighter's arm. Without wanting to cause controversy, Soares tried to state that he is a friend of Rampage, but saw his athlete harmed in the confrontation.
"I adore him Quinton jackson, not just him as a fighter, but him as a person too. He’s a great guy and I would never do anything to disrespect him”, said Ed, in an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie.
“That night I wanted to win. Congratulations to Quinton, but I think Lyoto was stolen”, she said.
