The victory of Quinton “Rampage”Jackson about Lyoto Machida, in the main fight of UFC-123, caused surprise for many, including the athlete who won the fight himself. However, another character caught a lot of attention at the time of the announcement: Ed Soares, the Brazilian's manager, categorically stated that they had raised the wrong fighter's arm. The moment of the complaint was caught by the PPV cameras.

Without wanting to cause controversy, Soares tried to state that he is a friend of Rampage, but saw his athlete harmed in the confrontation.
