The HFO 2 event, held in Poland last Sunday (1), was designed to test the public's stomach. During the amateur MMA fight between Dominik Oslizlo and Maciej Szczepaniak, a move caused a bad fracture in the former's arm, which, obviously, interrupted the duel.
Both Oslizlo and Szczepaniak were making their MMA debuts. At one point in the fight, Maciej grabbed his opponent and applied a takedown, but Oslizlo put his arm on the ground in an attempt to defend. During the movement, the fighter suffered a serious injury to his left arm.
The move in question had some similarities with the moment that caused a fracture in the arm of Mauritius Shogun at PRIDE, in 2006, when he tried to support himself during Mark Coleman's fall. At the time, the Brazilian spent seven months recovering.
