United States presidential candidate Donald Trump divides opinions in the country due to his firm stance on controversial issues, such as immigration and relations with Eastern countries. However, the candidate acquired the sympathy of Miesha Tate, UFC champion, for a reason unrelated to politics: both are not exactly fans of Ronda Rousey.

The former champion has already received public jabs from both Miesha and Trump. With the current belt holder, Ronda has already dueled twice, winning both, in fights surrounded by a lot of rivalry and controversy.

Trump, on the other hand, was quite direct when celebrating Ronda's defeat to Holly holm, in November last year. “Happy to see that Ronda Rousey lost his title fight. She was categorically beaten – she is not a good person”, wrote the candidate on Twitter, including tagging the fighter’s official account.

In an interview with the website “TMZ”, Miesha was asked about her political preferences, and said she only had an affinity with Trump. “I would just say that I like the idea of a Republican [becoming president] for the simple fact that we had two Democrats. But honestly, we only have one thing in common: he's not a fan of Ronda Rousey. That’s one thing he has going for him,” said the fighter.

Miesha won the UFC belt precisely after beating Holm, Ronda's tormentor, in March. His first title defense will be in July, when he faces the Brazilian Amanda nunes at UFC 200.
