UFC announces Hall of Fame ceremony for July 10

Event will take place at the end of "Fight Week", after UFC 200

The UFC Hall of Fame already has a date set to meet its new members. The Ultimate organization announced that the ceremony will be held on July 10, Sunday, at the end of “International Fight Week”, right after UFC 200.

In total, the Hall of Fame has four categories and each one will have at least one name nominated, they are: Pioneer Era, which includes fighters over 35, who are retired and debuted before November 17, 2000 ( when the current unified rules were established); Modern Era, for athletes who made their debut after November 17, 2000; Contributors Wing, for those who were not fighters and helped spread MMA; and the Fight Wing, for historic fights that were carried out at least five years ago from the date of its nomination.

Currently the Hall of Fame has the following names: Royce gracie, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Randy Couture, Mark Coleman and Bas Rutten (Pioneer Era); Forrest griffin, Stephan bonnar, B.J. Penn,Tito Ortiz, Matt hugs, Chuck Liddell and Pat Miletitch (Modern Era); Charles “Mask” Lewis Jr and Jeff Blatnick (Contributors Wing); It is Matt hugs x Frank Trigg at UFC 52 (Ala das Lutas).
