After getting back on track earlier this month when he defeated Oluwale Bamgbose in the UFC Tampa, Cezar Mutant He already has a date to return to the octagon. The TUF Brazil 1 champion faces Anthony Smith at TUF 23 Finale, an event that takes place on the eve of UFC 200, on July 8, in Las Vegas (USA).
Mutante was going through a difficult time in the UFC, with three knockout losses in four fights. However, he turned things around by beating Bamgbose in the judges' decision. In total, his professional MMA record is nine wins and five losses.
Smith, in turn, is in his second stint in the UFC. In the first, he lost to Antônio Braga Neto in 2013 and was immediately dismissed. Afterwards, he had seven wins in a row and was re-signed, beating Leonardo “Leleco” Guimarães in his debut, in February.
The main fight of TUF 23 Finale will be between Joanna Jedrzejczyk e Claudia Gadelha, valid for the UFC strawweight belt.
