Cacareco's time and turn in the UFC

Alexandre Cacareco

After 12 years as a professional, the day has come to Alexandre Cacareco. The Chute Boxe black belt will make his long-awaited UFC debut this Saturday, in edition number 122 of the show. The Brazilian will measure forces against the Belarusian Vladimir Matyushenko and states that he is prepared to face any opponent in the up to 93 kilos category.

“I'm willing to face anyone in the light heavyweight division,” said Cacareco, in an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie. “I already said that I don’t choose opponents. Just tell me where and what time, and I’ll fight”, he added.

Cacareco comes from a great streak of seven consecutive victories, with the last four triumphs in a combined time of just two minutes and thirteen seconds of fighting, including submissions over Fábio Maldonado e Lew Polley. The chuteboxer is happy with the retrospect, but guarantees that he can do much more.

“I can still accomplish a lot of things in MMA because I'm still young. I just need a chance to prove my point. I'm sure if I get the chance, I'll put a lot of big names to sleep in one round,” he concluded.
