The Brazilian Diego Brandao was arrested last Friday (15), after get into trouble at a strip club. According to the police report, the fighter was accused of assaulting a man with a firearm. Brandão has already paid bail of US$150, approximately R$528, and will respond to the case in freedom.

Through an official note, Ultimate announced that it will wait for the court to investigate, but may take action against the athlete. The organization reveals that it will not comment until new information about the case is revealed. But, in similar cases, fighters from the organization were fired.

“We are aware that the UFC featherweight, Diego Brandao, was arrested on Friday after a fight at a commercial establishment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are in the process of gathering more information and, while we are concerned about the nature of the reported allegations, it is important to highlight that Brandão will be entitled to trial in a court of law. We will not be making any further comment until we obtain more information about the case.”
In addition to the process in the New Mexico Court, Diego Brandao He has to go through another trial next Tuesday (19). He is suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for using marijuana in his last Octagon appearance, at UFC 195 in December.
