Now it's official! After a few months of speculation and a lot of suspense surrounding who would be the first challenger for the new UFC bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate, the Brazilian Amanda nunes was confirmed as his opponent. The duel between Tate and Nunes will take place at the historic UFC 200, on July 9th.

At 27, Amanda nunes has a professional record of 12 wins and just four losses. The “Lioness”, as she is known, comes from three consecutive victories, the most recent of which over the Kyrgyzstani naturalized Peruvian Valentina Shevchenko. Amanda will be the second Brazilian to compete for the category title. The first was Bethe Correia, knocked out by Ronda Rousey in less than a minute at UFC 190, in August last year.
Yes, Miesha Tate, 29 years old, has an MMA record of 18 wins and five setbacks. “Cupcake” won the bantamweight title by submitting Holly holm, executioner of his great rival Ronda Rousey, last March. The brunette, third holder of the belt in the 61,2 kg division in the history of Ultimate, currently has five consecutive victories.
UFC 200 takes place on July 9th, at the brand new “T-Mobile Arena”, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, Conor McGregor will try to avenge his only defeat in the octagon by meeting his tormentor again Nate diaz, again in a duel valid for the welterweight category (up to 77 kg). In addition, the card will also feature a fight for the interim featherweight title between Brazilian José Aldo and the North American Frankie Edgar.
