after winning Robbie Lawler at a combined weight (88 kilos), there was much speculation that the light heavyweight Renato "Babalu" Sobral could go down to the middleweight category. This Wednesday, the fighter's manager, Richard Wilner, once again speculated about this possibility.
“The weight of 88 kilos was ideal. Babalu dropping to 84 (kilos) is not realistic, as his physical biotype is not that way. Depending on the time and circumstances, if it is a big fight or a big tournament we may consider changing categories”, said the businessman in statements to the North American website MMAWeekly.
Brazilian Renato “Babalu”'s next commitment will be in the light heavyweight division, against the former Pride champion, Dan Henderson. The fight will be the main attraction of Strikeforce, which takes place on December 4th in the city of St. Louis, in the United States.
