the defeat of Gesias Cavalcante for Josh thomson in Strikeforce, it had repercussions among several fighters, who did not agree with the side judges who gave the victory to the North American. Through Twitter, the athletes published their opinions about the fight that took place last Saturday (8), in San Diego, California.
“Even Thomson thought he didn’t win by 30×27. Clown, Gesias won this fight”, said Leo Amendoim, a Brazilian Muay Thai athlete who lives in Thailand. Marcelinho Garcia, on the other hand, saw Gesias triumph in the three rounds of the duel.
“There’s no way I could fight ‘JZ’, it was 30-27,” said the black belt. And it wasn't just Brazilian athletes who saw the Brazilian's triumph. Former WEC champion Miguel Torres, famous for his statements on Twitter, called the judges' decision an “assault”.
“JZ should change his nickname to ‘O Assaltado’, what a situation,” Torres published.
