Officially launched last week, the EA Sports UFC 2 game is already making waves – and not just because of its qualities. The game makes a mistake in characterizing the lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov, who felt offended and asked for an immediate change in his character.

One of Nurmagomedov's character celebrations includes the sign of the cross, a gesture used by Christian religions. The Russian fighter, born in the Dagestan region, is Muslim. The “Eagle” took to social media to speak out about it.

“I am Muslim and I was not baptized. Please, EA Sports UFC, edit my post-fight celebration. I have a lot of Muslim fans and you need to respect it”, wrote Nurmagomedov, in a post on Twitter.

Undefeated in professional MMA, including a victory over the lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos, Nurmagomedov will return to the octagon on April 16, in the main fight of UFC on FOX 19, against Tony Ferguson. It will be his first fight since April 2014 – since then, the Russian has been sidelined due to injury.
