Miesha's boyfriend attacks Thominhas, who responds: 'My provocation is inside the octagon'

The North American said that the Brazilian is protected by the UFC, which has made every effort to ensure that the fight between them does not get off the ground

Respectively placed seventh and eighth in the ranking of the Ultimate bantamweight category, Thominhas Almeida e Bryan caraway they intensified their rivalry in recent days and publicly exchanged barbs. First, the North American, boyfriend of the women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, accused the Brazilian of being “protected” by the UFC, which vetoed a possible fight between them.

“The camp of Thomas almeida, his manager, wanted a fight with me. He called his manager, and they wanted to fight me. We both want this fight, and I don't know if he's just giving up, if he's scared or if the UFC is protecting him, because they won't let them fight me. We both wanted this fight, and the UFC basically said, 'No, that's not going to happen,'” said Caraway, in an interview with the “MMA Junkie” website.

Thominhas' response came in the same tone, but leaving the decision to marry the duel between them to Ultimate. “He who has a mouth says what he wants. It doesn't bother me, let him talk. That's not the truth (that I'm protected by the UFC). The UFC is a company that wants a show and a return. If they think the fight is good, they'll put it on. I'm waiting. Provocation is part of the sport to promote fights, but I don't like it very much. My provocation is inside the octagon, when the cage closes and the fight begins. But I look at it naturally. If everything goes well, the answer comes in practice, which is easier. It’s better than sticking to theory (laughs)”, he countered.

At 24, Thominhas Almeida has an undefeated professional record of 20 fights and 20 wins. The Chute Boxe-Diego Lima athlete has four victories in Ultimate, three of them by knockout or technical knockout. Already Bryan caraway, 31 years old, has a professional record of 20 wins and seven losses in MMA. The North American is coming off a victory over Eddie Wineland in July last year.
