No immediate rematch. The new UFC women's bantamweight champion's first title defense Miesha Tate will be against an old acquaintance: the former title holder Ronda Rousey. Shortly after UFC 196, president Dana White ruled out a new meeting between Miesha and Holly holm, ensuring that Ronda will complete the trilogy against her rival.

“I think Ronda will now face the Miesha Tate by title. That's what's going to happen. That's what I said, before the fight even happened. I already said that whoever wins tonight will face Ronda” said White. “I sent a message to Ronda and she wasn’t watching the fight. She asked me who had won and I said: 'Miesha just submitted Holly, who was unconscious'. She replied: 'So it looks like I need to get back to work, right?'. Ronda should only fight in October or November, but that doesn't mean I can't ask her (to fight before)”, he added.
The main obstacle to the immediate return of Ronda Rousey, in addition to the blonde's recovery from the knockout she suffered against Holly holm in November, it's his Hollywood schedule. Over the next few months, Ronda will star in two “Mile 22” films and the remake from “Matador de Aluguel”. Therefore, Ronda herself has already said that she should only fight again in the last quarter of 2016.
Miesha Tate e Ronda Rousey They have already faced each other twice, both times with the blonde winning. First, Ronda beat Miesha in the now-defunct Strikeforce and won the organization's title with an armbar in the first round. The rematch between the two took place in Ultimate and again Rousey submitted her with an armbar, this time in the third round.
