If anyone still doubted the severity of the injury Rafael dos Anjos, the answer given by the champion was the clearest possible. On his Instagram account, the Brazilian fighter updated his followers and showed the condition of his left foot a few weeks after suffering the fracture that took him out of the UFC 196 card this weekend.

Dos Anjos posted a photo of when he went to the doctor to change the cast that left the area immobilized. The image is impressive: in addition to the enormous swelling, the Brazilian's foot has a large bruise, especially in the region close to the heel.

Current UFC lightweight champion, Dos Anjos would have a duel of champions against Conor McGregor, holder of the featherweight title, this Saturday (5). The Irishman, in fact, was one of the biggest critics of the Brazilian's departure, stating that his rival's injury was a “scratch”. Now, McGregor faces Nate diaz in the main event of the event.
