Even though he was confirmed as an opponent of Conor McGregor just ten days before the fight, Nate diaz will be in full physical condition to have a good presentation. At least that's what UFC president Dana White guarantees.

According to the manager, Diaz was not in a sedentary period when he received the opportunity, contrary to what declared Rafael dos Anjos, the Irishman's original opponent. "Nate diaz I was training for a triathlon. He is in phenomenal physical shape now. So, he won't come to fight out of shape. He is in phenomenal shape”, emphasized White, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

The UFC president praised Diaz's attitude for accepting the fight, insisting that the North American was one of the few who was ready for the fight. “This business is about opportunity. When opportunity knocks, you either jump on it or you don’t. In a perfect world, you know in advance who your opponent is and you have eight weeks to train. Nate diaz and other guys like Urijah faber, Anthony Pettis and [Donald] Cerrone. But Diaz and Conor wanted to fight,” she explained.

Conor McGregor e Nate diaz are in the main fight of UFC 196, on March 5th. The fight will be held in the welterweight division (up to 77 kg).
