Thiago Silva could face Brandon Vera at UFC 125

UFC 125 has not yet been officially announced, but sources close to the organization claim that the Brazilian Thiago Silva will be on the event card. Your opponent will be the North American Brandon vera, a 33-year-old athlete whose specialty is muay-thai and has competed in the UFC since 2005, having already faced renowned fighters such as Randy Couture e Tim sylvia.

This fight will be an opportunity for both athletes to get back on the path to victory in Ultimate, given that in their last fights they were defeated in the Octagon. In January this year, at UFC 108, the Brazilian faced the organization's former light heavyweight champion, Rashad evans, where he was defeated by unanimous decision of the judges. Thiago is an American Top Team (ATT) athlete and has seven fights in Ultimate, having won on five of these occasions. Vera will fight for the first time since her knockout defeat to Jon Jones in the first round of the main fight of UFC Live 1, held on March 21st.

The 125th edition of the UFC is expected to take place on January 1, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas.
