Bellator president Scott Coker gave new information regarding the health status of Dada 5000, who suffered a cardiac arrest moments after his fight last Friday (19), in Houston, United States.
Dada 5000 and Kimbo Slice took part in a fight that was the target of several criticisms, as both appeared extremely tired after just a few minutes of activity. Slice won by TKO in the third round, and Dada 5000 had medical complications during his transport to the hospital.
Despite the scare, Coker assured that the fighter's recovery is satisfactory so far. “We want to thank everyone for their concern. The new information about Dada says that he is progressing well and will be able to go home soon”, wrote the director on his Twitter account.
Dada 5000, whose real name is Dhafir Harris, suffered other health problems in addition to cardiac arrest. The 39-year-old fighter also left the fight with a fractured orbital bone, in addition to having suffered a kidney problem due to the weight cut in the weeks before the fight.
