The capital of Paraná, Curitiba, won the dispute with Brasília (DF) and Fortaleza (CE) and will host the next Ultimate event in Brazil, scheduled for the month of May. UFC 198 will take place in the city that was the birthplace of great names in the sport, and home to one of the most notable teams in Brazilian MMA, Chute Boxe.

The information was released by the website “PVT”, which confirmed it with athletes scheduled for the card. Despite this, however, the publication did not disclose the location in the city that will receive the card. The city has some gyms, but the big favorite is Arena da Baixada, Atlético-PR's stadium, which has a retractable roof and can host an Ultimate event regardless of the weather conditions.

UFC 198 takes place on May 14th. The card's co-main fight will be a duel between Brazilian veterans Vitor belfort e Ronaldo Jacare. Although it has not yet been made official by the organization, the main event is expected to be a heavyweight belt dispute between Fabricio Werdum e Stipe Miocic.
