Even without fighting in the UFC, Ronda Rousey was in evidence last weekend. The former champion of the largest MMA organization on the planet appeared in a commercial during the halftime period of the Super Bowl, the NFL (American football league) final, last Sunday (7), between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.
In a beer commercial, Ronda was alongside comedians Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer. The video shows journalists trying to interview the two, but Ronda, in her role as security, said she was not allowed to ask questions. Rogen then praises the fighter and asks her when her next fight will be. Ronda grabs him and says, “I said 'no questions!'”.
Super Bowl halftime insertion goes far beyond a simple commercial. Each company had to pay around US$5 million for 30 seconds of advertising, as it is estimated that more than 100 million people in the United States watched the match.
