BJ Penn guarantees he will fight at UFC 196 and mentions Dennis Siver as a possible rival

Since announcing he was returning to MMA from retirement, B.J. Penn has said that his return will take place at the March 5th event, UFC 196. Now, the former lightweight and welterweight champion has gone further and hinted that he even has an opponent defined for the card in Las Vegas ( USA).

According to journalist Ariel Helwani, in this Wednesday's (03) edition of “UFC Tonight”, the organization's official newspaper on North American TV. Penn has been citing German featherweight Dennis Siver, who has lost two consecutive matches and hasn't fought since June last year, as his likely opponent.

At 37, B.J. Penn has a professional record of 16 wins, 10 losses and two draws. One of only two fighters in history to win belts in different categories in Ultimate, alongside Randy Couture, Penn is also a member of the UFC Hall of Fame. In his last fight, the Hawaiian was defeated by Frankie Edgar in July 2014.

UFC 196 takes place on March 5th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, the current featherweight champion Conor McGregor tries to become the first fighter in the history of Ultimate to capture two belts simultaneously in different categories and challenges the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title.
