The head coach of Ronda Rousey, Edmond Tarverdyan, received a three-month suspension, plus a fine from the California Athletic Commission for lying when filling out an entity form.
Tarverdyan failed to tell the California Commission that he was detained for one day in 2010 for identity theft and resisting arrest. The problem for the coach was not even the arrest itself, but the fact that what happened was not listed in the documentation of the commission, a government body in the United States.
Thus, Tarverdyan must spend three months without acting in the corner of any of his athletes, in addition to paying a fine of US$5. However, the coach will be under probation from the entity for three years.
