In the last days, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. developed an intense public rivalry, heated through unfriendly statements from both parties, whose central theme was quite controversial: racism. The former boxer once again directed his criticism at the featherweight champion and made a point of provoking him, implying that he doesn't know the UFC star.

“Again, I never said this guy… Conor McGregor, is that his name? I never said that the Conor McGregor was… I never had anything against Caucasians, white Americans or white people, period. Or Irish. What I said is that in this world racism still exists, but I'm not racist, that's what I said”, said Mayweather, in an interview with the website “Fight Hype”. “Was he offended? Life is like this. Every now and then people get offended by certain things that are said,” he added.
Floyd even took a jab at Ultimate President Dana White. “There is something very interesting. We can forgive, but we never forget. When no one knew who Dana White was, he used to walk up and down with me, hang out with me and I treated him like anyone else in my camp. Then suddenly the guy gets into a certain position, shaves his head, goes bald and acts like he's tough and rough. That’s not the Dana White I know,” he concluded.
