The UFC will arrive in a new country in Latin America in 2016. But it will not be to hold an event, but rather to film another season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter, which will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After two editions filmed in Las Vegas (USA), the third season of TUF América Latina will be filmed in South America, between May and June. “After two successful seasons, we felt it was time to move from Las Vegas to Latin America in order to create a more direct bond with the participants and offer a new experience to spectators”, explained the person in charge of the Latin American area of the show. UFC, Jamie Pollack.
The weight categories of the participating athletes have not yet been defined – the tryouts will be held in March, involving both men and women. The coaches for the edition were also not named. The program will be broadcast via “Fight Pass” starting in August.
The first edition of TUF América Latina was held in 2014, with the command of Fabricio Werdum e Cain Velazquez. The champions were Yair Rodriguez e Alejandro Perez. The second season, under the supervision of Kelvin Gastelum and Efrain Escudero, crowned Enrique Barzola and Erick Montaño.
