for years, Chris Cyborg was the champion's biggest rival Ronda Rousey and considered the biggest threat to the reign of the former Ultimate champion. After Ronda's defeat to Holly holm, however, Cyborg seems to have even developed a certain sympathy for her opponent, going so far as to say she feels sorry for all the criticism that has been directed at the former judoka.

"That is terrible. When you are there, everyone is with you. I feel very sorry about this. I know what it's like, because before something happened in my career (doping) everyone was with me (and then they weren't anymore). But I love my fans. Some fans stuck with me and I'm sure she has too. It's sad, but every now and then it's good because you can see who's with you. You can see who you really have to value”, said Cyborg, to the “MMA Fighting” website.

On the other hand, the Brazilian kept her dream of facing Ronda in the future, even though the American no longer has her belt. “Her defeat, I don’t think it changed anything. It opened the doors for her to want to fight me, because before she wanted to stop fighting without any defeat. But fighter, losing or winning, it happens, it happens to every athlete. You can't stay undefeated your whole life. I don't think she wanted to fight me to avoid it. But I'm not sure if I'll win or not. It’s 50% and 50%,” she said, on the “Sensei Combate” program.

Chris Cyborg, 30 years old, has a record of 14 wins, one loss and one unsuccessful fight. The Brazilian is the current featherweight champion of the Invicta FC event and will defend her belt next Saturday (16), against challenger Daria Ibragimova.
