Thierry Sokoudjou
The American organization Shark Fights begins to gain prominence with the signing of big names in world MMA. The show, which will hold its 13th edition on September 11th, will feature as its co-main attraction a duel between two former UFC fighters.
Light heavyweights Houston Alexander and Thierry Sokoudjou faced each other in search of affirmation in their careers.
After being released from the UFC for accumulating losing streaks, both athletes are coming off victories in smaller events. Sokoudjou got past Brazilian Joaquim “Mamute” at Impact FC 1, on July 10 in Australia, while Alexander beat David Griffin in June at UFA.
Shark Fights 13 will be held in the city of Amarillo, Texas and will feature another former Ultimate fighter as the main attraction of the night. Keith Jardine will face current light heavyweight champion Trevor Prangley.
